Mix the egg, Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder, pepper and finely grated cheese. Sprinkle the flour and mix well.
From the mixture, create small balls (the mixture should make around 16 balls).
Coat each ball in flour, egg and finally in bread crumbs.
Fry in hot oil.
Serve with cold buttermilk, yoghurt, sour cream or even mayonnaise.
A selection of different types of cheeses can be used.
Ensure the temperature of the oil is hot, but not too hot.
In cool oil the mixture will break apart and cheese will seep out, and in too hot oil the outside of the balls will burn, leaving the middle still raw.
It is also important that you only cook 4 or 5 balls at the time, not more.
