Fish Fillets With Cucumbers

Nutritional trends today suggest light meals, for example combination of meat and steam cooked vegetables. Here we suggest cucumbers, well known as source of health and body beauty, whenever you desire some refreshment.


  • 1 kg cucumbers, washed, partially peeled
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cube Vegeta Chicken stock
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp dill, finely chopped
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 100 ml sour cream
  • salt
  • 600 g fish fillets
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • oil for frying
  • salt


  1. 1.
    Cut cucumbers in half lengthways (if prefer, remove the seeds) and slice them into 1 cm pieces.
  2. 2.
    In a pot heat up olive oil. Add cucumbers, water and Vegeta Chicken stock cube. Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes.

    Add garlic, dill, pepper, sour cream and salt (as per your taste).
  4. 4.
    Rub fish fillets with little salt and coat with flour. Heat up the oil in a pan and fry the fillets.


Place fish fillets on plates with cucumbers and slices of lemon.


Prior to frying, sprinkle fish fillets with some lemon juice.

Little secret

When preparing cucumbers, it is important to braise them in little water, so there is no need to discharge any liquid and the good ingredients with it.
