Gnocchi in Spinach sauce

It is well known that gnocchi are very easy and simple to cook. So why not create different sauces and dress the meal up in to a real delicacy. This is our idea!

Ingredients

  • 30 g spinach, washed and cut in small strips
  • salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder
  • 250 – 300 ml milk
  • pepper
  • nutmeg, grated
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 400 g gnocchi

Preparation

  1. 1.
    Salt spinach strips and leave for around 10 minutes. Then drain the excess liquid.
  2. 2.
    Cook the spinach in hot oil, only for a few minutes.
  3. 3.
    Add garlic, parsley, basil and Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder.
  4. 4.
    Bring salted water to boil and then you can cook the gnocchi.
  5. 5.
    Cook the spinach mixture for a minute or so and then mix in milk, pepper, nutmeg and corn flour- mixed with a little water.
  6. 6.
    Simmer this for a few minutes and then add in gnocchi and stir.

Serving

Mix well and serve with grated parmesan cheese.

Tip

Frozen spinach can also be used in this recipe.
