Rosé is a wine which comes from the coastal town in Sicily, which also shares the same name. In Italy rosé is served usually as an appetiser, between the 1st and 2nd meal. In this recipe we have added it to prawns.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 kg prawns, raw
  • 1 tablespoon Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 100 ml wine – rosé
  • 50-100 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons parsley

Preparation

  1. 1.
Using a wider pan, in hot oil cook the prawns – whole and turning so they cook evenly.
  2. 2.
Add Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder, garlic, rosé and 50-100 ml water.
  3. 3.
Cook the prawns on mild heat for 2-3 minutes and then sprinkle with parsley.

Serving

Serve as a hot entrée or a smaller main meal.

Tip

Just prior to completing the meal, stir in Worcestershire sauce.
